In jem rolls Attacks the Silence, British poet and perennial Fringe favourite Jem Rolls doesn’t just attack the silence, he chews it up, spits it out and smashes it on the ground for good measure. All with words. Big words, funny words, unforgettable words.
But along with his words, Rolls is so skilled in his delivery that even those (like me) who find most spoken word poetry pretentious and inaccessible, will walk away with a better appreciation for the art form.
By the time Rolls is finished you’ll also understand why he refers to himself as “a large drop of sweat with a human inside it”.
