Megan was in her “happy ever after”. She had changed, started meditating, and miracles happened. And then, the miracles ended. So one night, she decided to bring happiness back … in a pill. Periscope is the story of that night.

Why should someone come see your show?

Come see Periscope because it’s more than just the show about an night that goes awry … it explores the question, “what do you do when your happy ever after has come? And then it disappears”. It plays with variations of perspective, particularly from tragedy to comedy, and how does one find perspective when in the thick of it? And if nothing else, come for the sound design by Leif Ingebrigtsen. It is pure ecstasy.

If your show was a superhero which superhero would it be, and why?

Wonder Woman. Because it’s about climbing through artifice and lasso-ing the truth of the situation.

If you could see only one show at the Vancouver Fringe this year, besides your own, what show would that be?

Just one? Gah … probably Lovely Lady Lump. Because Lana Schwarcz is fierce.
