Tell us about Surveil.
Surveil is a hilarious, dark exploration of the real implications of the increasing prevalence of surveillance and invasion of privacy in our society.
Featuring Tom and Devin of Hip.Bang!, Peter Carlone of Peter n’ Chris, and the audience itself (come prepared to sign a waiver), Surveil will capture and release the very real tension created by not knowing when you are being watched.
Describe your show in three words.
Funny. Scary. Real.
Why should someone come see your show?
To see something that is viscerally scary and delightfully funny in equal part. To experience where digital surveillance is going firsthand. To see something quite arousing.
If your show was a superhero which superhero would it be, and why?
Superheroes like Batman are overrated, this show is like Alfred, the all-seeing, charming genius pulling strings in ways you can never know.
If you could see only one show at the Vancouver Fringe Festival this year, besides your own, what show would that be?
Gossamer Obsessions is an incredible, twisted, hilarious show that feels like renaissance era stoner comedy. So funny, so good.
#FringeDuJour is a peek at some of the shows coming to this year’s Vancouver Fringe Festival. We’ve asked Fringe artists to answer a few questions to entice you to see what they have to offer and to help cross-pollinate the Fringe.
