Tell us about your show.

The Lady Show stars Diana Bang, Morgan Brayton, Fatima Dhowre, and Katie-Ellen Humphries. It’s a variety show featuring comedy about growing up in a Somali-Canadian family, a song about the accomplishments of one’s forehead, a ladybug suspected of arson, a seasoned road comic who’s definitely been there, The Lady News, a remake of Twins for our times, and other nonsense. You know, the usual.

Describe your show in three words.

A comedy thing.

Why should someone come see your show?

Why should anyone do anything? The world is a garbage fire and it’s hard to even get out of bed in the morning, let alone get yourself to a Fringe show. Who are we to tell people what to do with their lives? We’re not exactly handling things well ourselves. God, do whatever you want! You’re a grown ass adult or whatever, right?

If your show was a superhero which superhero would it be, and why?

The Anti-Incredible Hulk because you would like us when we’re angry.

If you could see only one show at the Vancouver Fringe Festival this year, besides your own, what show would that be?

SELF-ish, Lady Show member Diana Bang’s solo show. If you like Diana in one of these shows, go see the other for more of her. If you don’t like Diana in one of these shows, go see the other and give her a second chance.
