Tell us about Unscriptured.

I love doing Unscriptured because it just genuinely feels good to sing and pray and be with a group of people. Not in spite of the utterly ridiculous reason for being there, but because of it.

Describe your show in three words.

Joyous, funny, participatory.

Why should someone come see your show?

If the concept tickles you, if you want to laugh and have fun for an hour, if you want to see somebody working super hard to completely improvise a show for 60 minutes, if you’ve enjoyed any of my previous work, if you want to see something you’ve never seen before…

If your show was a superhero which superhero would it be, and why?

The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, because given her power set there’s not a reason in the world why she should be able to defeat a cosmic power like Galactus, but somehow she makes it work. Just like this show.

If you could see only one show at the Vancouver Fringe Festival this year, besides your own, what show would that be?

I’m a big fan of Gossamer Obsessions, the sketch comedy duo of Amy Shostak and Paul Blinov. So funny and such a refreshing angle.
