The Great Canadian Porno: The Musical
The Great Canadian Porno: The Musical

Tell us about The Great Canadian Porno: The Musical.

The Great Canadian Porno: The Musical is a bold, hilarious and extremely relevant new musical, that is uniquely Canadian.

Millennials in crisis having to navigate ethics in a world that so often rewards the most unethical behaviours. Comfort zones, finding purpose, morality, religion and sex and how they so often intertwine and clash, and what makes us Canadian.

Describe your show in three words.

Hilarious. Surprising. Double-Entendre.

Why should someone come see your show?

Someone should come see our show, because this is one of those rare occasions when a new Canadian story is told really well with incredible performers, in a show that has been carefully crafted over years. You will leave having laughed, with some questions, and with absolutely no regrets. Unless you want nudity, that there is none of.

If your show was a superhero which superhero would it be, and why?

Our superhero would be some Light-speed Shapeshifter, because the piece whips back and forth from breakneck paced realism to Golden Era musical moments, a roller coaster ride, which flips entirely before the 90-minutes are up.

If you could see only one show at the Vancouver Fringe Festival this year, besides your own, what show would that be?

What show to see? Oh, if it was just one I need to go see Alice in Glitterland, but also stoked to see Like A Virgin, The Moaning Yoni, and anything TJ Dawe has touched.
