Are you an established or emerging arts and culture organization that needs a well-equipped venue to produce a cultural event?

Through its Theatre Rental Grant program, the City of Vancouver offers financial assistance to non-profit arts and cultural organizations to use the Vancouver Civic Theatres which include the Orpheum, Orpheum Annex, Vancouver Playhouse, and Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

The program is intended to assist with artistic development, increasing the profile and expanding audiences for non-profit arts organizations by providing access to well-equipped and centrally-located professional venues.

The program is open to Vancouver-based, non-profit, arts or culture organizations that have been in operation for at least six months before the application deadline, mandated to present, produce, create, or develop arts and cultural work and actively promote its events to a citywide audience.  The City of Vancouver grant will cover theatre rental charges, plus technical days and rehearsal uses where resources permit.

The deadline for the first part of the City’s two-part application process is March 28, 2014.  Visit http://vancouver.ca for the full details.
