Festival of Israeli Culture is a one-day celebration of music, dance, art and more

The Jewish Community Centre hosts a free celebration of Israeli culture on May 14.

Vancouver’s Jewish Community Centre presents the Festival of Israeli Culture, a free celebration of music, dance, art, and more.

An opportunity to be immersed in Israeli culture, the one-day festival will feature drumming by the Drum Cafe, Israeli dance, Mediterranean belly dancing, Flamenco, the Israeli Choir, and a sing-along with the well-known Israeli musician Elad Shtamer.

In addition to a wide range of activities for the younger set, for the adults, there is a range of 19+ programs and an exhibition of video art from Bezalel Art University in Israel.

The Festival of Israeli Culture is perfect for spending a spring day in Vancouver,” say organizers. “Come and enjoy the music, dance, art, and food while immersing yourself in Israel’s vibrant and thriving culture. This event is not to be missed.”

Presented by the Jewish Community Centre, the Festival of Israeli Culture takes place at the Centre (950 W. 41st Avenue, Vancouver) on May 14. Visit israelifestival.com for more information.
