In addition to Aziz Ansari’s previously announced appearance at next year’s JFL Northwest, organizers have also announced Gabriel Iglesias, Howie Mandel and Whitney Cummings among its headliners.
The annual comedy festival, which takes place February 14 to 23, will open with Howie Mandel & Friends at the Orpheum Theatre, with Mandel showing his love for stand-up on Valentine’s Day with an evening featuring a yet-to-be announced group of comics.
Ansari brings his Road to Nowhere Tour to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre for two shows the following evening, and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias will perform at the venue on February 18.
Over at the Orpheum, real-life medical doctor and The Hangover star Ken Jeong performs on February 19.
The line-up at the Vogue Theatre includes Whitney Cummings (Feb 16) and The Daily Show’s Michelle Wolf (Feb 23).
The Rio Theatre will also see several shows during this fourth edition of the annual comedy festival. Among those appearing at the East Vancouver venue are rising stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze (Feb 17 & 18) and Rory Scovel (Feb 21 & 22).
Local talent will be highlighted with the return of Best of the West featuring a large contingent of Vancouver and British Columbia talent including Hip.Bang!, Nasty Women Comedy, The Lady Show, and The Ryan & Amy Show.
Returning again in 2019 is the JFL NorthWest Block Party in downtown Vancouver, and the Vancouver Just For Laughs Film Festival.
