Homage to Four Centuries of Piano Music

April 20 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Come and enjoy some great classical music in a cozy living room with about 25 fellow music lovers. We will provide complimentary wine and appetizers.

We at Music Friends are excited to present a shared solo and duo recital featuring two outstanding pianists, Emily Logan and Evgenia Rabinovich.

We are pleased to welcome back Emily after her successful debut in our series last year, and are excited to introduce our audiences to Evgenia, who recently performed with the UBC Symphony Orchestra as one of the top prizewinners in the Robert Silverman Piano Concerto Competition at UBC.

Emily and Evgenia will present a solo program featuring masterworks that span four centuries of keyboard music, ranging from Domenico Scarlatti to Maurice Ravel. Among the highlights will be Mozart’s stormy Sonata in A Minor, K. 310, and Chopin’s Sonata No. 2 in B-flat Minor, Op. 35, which contains his unforgettable Funeral March.

They will then team up to conclude this musical journey with a selection of movements from Ravel’s whimsical Mother Goose suite for piano four hands!

The exact location will be revealed in the order confirmation email.
