The 60 singers of United Voices Choir, directed by Dr Greg Caisley, are joined by soloists and orchestra to perform George Frideric Handel’s glorious and iconic Messiah in two concerts, followed by a special Sing-Along edition.
One of the most famous and best-loved of all choral works, Messiah, was written by Handel in 1741. Now considered a hallmark of the holiday season, the work is celebrated for its dramatic melodies, powerful choruses and moving solos.
In addition to two concerts, there will be a Sing-Along Messiah at Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church, with orchestra and soloists. Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability or experience, and scores are available for loan for those who need one. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who loves singing to lift the roof off with the Hallelujah Chorus, amongst other favourites.
