The 2016 Theatre & Music Expressions Festival runs May 11-22

Arts Umbrella presents it’s annual celebration of the boundless creativity of young minds with the 2016 Expressions Festival including an expanded theatre and music festival on Granville Island. Here are five reasons we think you should go:

[dropcap]1[/dropcap] The festival features five varied productions including beloved favourites such as The Drowsy Chaperone and Julius Caesar, as well as student created originals including Dangers of a Total War.

[dropcap]2[/dropcap] Students have worked with professional directors and designers to work on honing their craft.

[dropcap]3[/dropcap] Arts Umbrella is a not-for-profit organization and the proceeds form this festival ensure that students like these can continue their arts education.

[dropcap]4[/dropcap] The festival is a unique opportunity for audiences of all ages to watch talented and dedicated theatre students express themselves through their artistic craft.

[dropcap]5[/dropcap] The festival offers an opportunity for audiences to witness the next generation of theatre performers.

The 2016 DOXA Documentary Film Festival takes place May 5-15. Visit http://doxafestival.ca for tickets and information.
