New York based North Coast are coming to Vancouver with its unique brand of hip hop improv comedy on June 15. Here are five reasons you should go:

1. Improvisational comedy is not a new form of theatre, but North Coast takes things to a whole new level as a single suggestion from an audience member are turned into full-blown hip-hop songs.

2.  North Coast features resident beat boxer and 2015 World Beatbox Champion, Kaila Mullady.

3. North Coast blurs the line between comedy show and concert, offering something for audiences from the comedy, hip-hop, and theater communities.

4.  The show will also feature local favourites, National Anthem and Hip.Bang! for a full evening of improvised entertainment.

5.  North Coast features  a cast of improv comedy veterans from the likes of The Upright Citizens Brigade, the Peoples Improv Theater and The Magnet theaters in New York City,

North Coast appears at the Revue Stage (1601 Johnston St, Granville Island) on June 15. Visit for tickets and information.
