Vancouver’s NorthWest Comedy Fest will join forces with Just For Laughs, one of the most recognizable comedy brands in North America, in presenting JFL NorthWest this February.
With more than 30 years under its belt, Just For Laughs is perhaps best known for its annual festival in Montreal that attracts more than two million visitors, and its Gags television show which is now seen more 135 countries.
“We’re especially pleased to be partnering with the NorthWest Comedy Fest,” says Just For Laughs Chief Operating Officer, Bruce Hills. “It’s a first class event and provides a great opportunity for us to spread laughter and increase our festival footprint from one side of the country to the other.”
A part of Vancouver’s comedy scene for the past two years, The NorthWest Comedy Fest has attracted some of the biggest names in comedy including Craig Ferguson and John Mulaney, plus celebrity podcasts by the likes of Kevin Smith and Graham Clark. Quickly becoming a highlight on the winter entertainment calendar in Vancouver, organizers are looking to build on its existing fan base with the creation of JFL NorthWest.
“I am extremely excited about our new partnership,” says NorthWest Comedy Fest Director, Heather Wallace. “The JFL brand and team will bring exceptional opportunities for growth to our increasingly successful festival. I look forward to the city’s continued support in making this a signature event for Vancouver.”
The inaugural JFL Northwest will take place at venues around Vancouver February 18-27. Visit http://JFLNorthWest.com for more information.
