Based on Elizabeth Gaskell’s 1860’s serial novel, and adapted by UBC Theatre and Film Professor Jacqueline Firkins, Wives and Daughters is the story of seventeen-year-old Molly whose life gets turned upside down when an overbearing stepmother and an impetuous stepsister move in.

Showcasing the BFA actors and their design colleagues from the University of British Columbia’s theatre design and production program, Vancouver Presents went behind-the-scenes with director Courtenay Dobbie, and actors Olivia Lang and Jed Weiss to find out more.
