The Vancouver Theatresports League is constantly re-imagining the world of improvisation at the Improv Centre on Granville Island. Here are three current shows worth checking out.

[dropcap]1[/dropcap]Winter may be coming Westeros, but laughter is coming to Granville Island. Inspired by the hit HBO television show and the books by George R.R. Martin, Throne and Games (until Aug 29) is an improvised parody filled with betrayal, death, eliminations, and unlikely alliances.

[dropcap]2[/dropcap]They usually frown on dogs doing it except in designated areas, but the gang at Theatresports is breaking all the rules as they go Off Leash (ongoing). A free-format evening of improvised laughs, this is one evening where you can leave the dog collar at home.

[dropcap]3[/dropcap]The next generation of Theatresports improvisers get a chance to hone their skills with Rookie Night (ongoing). This 90 minute show showcases the talent of some of the company’s newest players with aspirations of one day joining the veterans on the mainstage.
