Vancouver Fringe Festival, Shall We Dance & Accordion Noir Festival

The Vancouver Fringe Festival gets underway, the accordion gets serious and The Dance Centre sets the barre high in our picks this week.

[dropcap]1[/dropcap]Kicking off the fall/winter theatre season is the 2015 edition of the Vancouver Fringe Festival (Sep 10-20) with 108 un-juried and uncensored shows over its eleven day run. To help navigate the offerings this year we’ve put together a top ten (+ten) list of must-see shows this year.

[dropcap]3[/dropcap]The Dance Centre is looking to raise the barre with Shall We Dance (Sep 12) in support of Vancouver’s dance talent and the Scotiabank Dance Centre. The evening’s Dance Hotel theme will transform the Centre’s six floors of ballet barres and dance floors into an oasis of exciting, kinetic showcases. From tap and ballet to contemporary and urban styles, from Classical Indian to passionate Flamenco, an entire world of dance will be on display alongside roving bands of whimsical circus acts, contortionists, and jugglers.
