Meet Lucia Frangione

Lucia is a single Mom living in Vancouver, the author of twenty five plays, and works as a professional actor across Canada. She teaches playwriting at Langara college and the Richmond Gateway academy. She has been an associate artist with Pacific Theatre for twenty four years and is published with Talon books. She likes to cook, do cross fit, and garden. She is particular fond of good shoes.

1. Your first job.

My first job was for CKGY country radio station in Red Deer, Alberta. I was the radio “hostess”, I handed out prizes and coffee and spun the prize wheel while the radio was “live” on location. It added up to a lot of pervy old car salesmen, Randy Travis and Timbits.

2. The job you always wanted as a child.

To be a “Young Stampeeder” baton twirler.

3. Your pet peeve.

Cement front lawns.

4. Your hero.

5. Your biggest indulgence.

I just got back from a three week trip to Italy…

6. One thing no one knows about you (and you’re willing to share).

I am a “middle of the tube” squeezer and I don’t give a shit.

7. Three things you would want with you on a deserted island.

A V5 high tech point .5 pilot black pen, paper, a sealable bottle.

8. The one word your best friend would use to describe you.

Generous.

9. If you were not an actor/dancer what would you be doing right now?

Grief counsellor.

10. Hero or villain?

Hero.

11. Your life’s motto/mantra.

If you feel compelled to create, you must do it, flaws and all, because it means someone out there needs to hear it. And if you don’t, then you leave a vacuum where your courage should have been.

14. If you were a breakfast cereal what breakfast cereal would you be?

Biscotti dipped in espresso.

Only the memory of my love will remain.

My Grandma Bunny.

A hike along the ocean with someone who stops often to listen, smell, or see.

18. If you could go back in time, what would you tell your twenty year old self?

Take dance lessons.

My daughter is turning out to be a decent loving human being.
