Actor.

Marine biologist/actor.

3. Your pet peeve.

I’m trying not to be annoyed with little things, but my least favourite big thing is cruelty.

4. Your hero.

Potentially everyone.

5. Your biggest indulgence.

Fantasy fiction.

6. One thing no one knows about you.

What the inside of my brain looks like.

7. Three things you would want with you on a deserted island.

My partner Charlie, my brother Max, and the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. It’s super long, so it would have good re-read value.

8. The one word your best friend would use to describe you.

My best friend and creative partner, Ming Hudson, said, “inspirational.” Surround yourself with people like Ming.

9. If they made a movie about your life, who would it star?

I would love it to be stop-motion animation.

10. Hero or villain?

Neither. Nuance.

11. Your life’s motto/mantra.

Be kind.

12. Your favourite playwright?

Hannah Moscovitch.

13. The last book you read.

The Obelisk Gate, Book 2 of the Broken Earth Trilogy, by N. K. Jemisin.

14. If you were a cartoon character, what cartoon character would you be, and why?

No Face from Spirited Away. It takes on the feelings and needs of those around it and transforms to exaggerate them.

15. What will it say on your grave marker?

Whatever the loved ones I leave behind want and need it to say.

16. Who would you most like to have dinner with?

My partner. My friends.

17. Your idea of happiness.

This right now.

18. If you could go back in time, what would you tell your twenty-year-old self?

You’re beautiful, and you are more than beautiful, and you contain multitudes.

Whenever I am able to be kind, to myself or others, even in a time of distress or anger.
