This week is a grab bag of diverse events as Stomp returns to Vancouver, William Shakespeare takes on the evil empire, and artists tackle their anxieties.
Now in its 25th year the international percussion sensation, Stomp (13-15 Jan), returns to Vancouver. The eight-member troupe uses everything from matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, and hubcaps as their instruments. The updated show includes two new full-scale routines, utilizing props like tractor tire inner tubes and paint cans.
