You’ve probably heard of theatre under the stars, but what about theatre on the beach? No, not that beach. This one is in White Rock, where the Beach House Theatre Society presents two shows this summer – one for kids and one for adults – under tents on Crescent Beach.
[dropcap]1[/dropcap] The Beach House Theatre Society returns for a fourth year with late morning performances for young audiences (and their families). This year the ensemble takes on Aesop’s Fables (Aug 10-14). Told by a mysterious troupe of traveling storytellers, the show includes such classics tales as The Tortoise and the Hare and The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
[dropcap]2[/dropcap] For the adults, Beach House Theatre presents Larry Shue’s comedy, The Foreigner (Aug 9-14). Set in a rural fishing lodge, the shy and depressed Charlie is made out to be a foreigner who speaks no English. Thinking they have nothing to worry about, the lodge’s other guests quickly begin revealing their secrets.
