Starring Murray Fraser as Prince Harry, and Parisa Fitz-Henley as Markle, Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance will also feature Vancouver-based actor, Laura Mitchell, as Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge. Mitchell will play opposite Australian actor, Burgess Abernathy, who plays Prince William.
“Having the opportunity to play Kate was absolutely a dream come true,” says Mitchell. “It was an amazing experience and everyone on the cast and crew worked so hard to bring this show to life and make sure to do the story justice. I just hope people have as much fun watching it as we did making it.”
Born in Singapore, Mitchell then lived in Jakarta until the age of three, when she moved with her parents to West Vancouver. Active in the performing arts and music as a child, Mitchell has gone onto a variety of film and television work.
Highlights from her career include appearances on the locally-shot Netflix series, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, and the CW’s iZombie. She also starred in the 2016 independent horror movie, Poignant. Mitchell also appeared in the Hallmark Channel movies, Finding Santa and October Kiss.
