Pacific Theatre opens its 2017/2018 season with Lucas Hnath’s The Christians.
The award-winning play, on the radar of the company’s artistic director since it appeared Off-Broadway just two years ago, is the story of a megachurch wrestling with a drastic change in doctrine.
Sending the church’s congregants towards schism, they must grapple with the a crisis of faith, and ultimately face the reality of loving those whose beliefs have made them into sudden strangers.
Vancouver Presents contributing editor, Mark Robins, caught up with director Sarah Rodgers on opening night to find out more.
