Running from September 2023 to April 2024, Richmond’s Gateway Theatre presents a 2023-2024 season of musical theatre, comedy, storytelling, audio plays, and community-based celebrations.
The season begins on September 24 with the Family Fun Mid-Autumn Festival celebration and the live reading of the fourth episode of A Year of Blessings audio play series for young audiences and their families.
The holiday season will feature the musical adaptation of Cinderella (Dec 14-31). Then in the new year, award-winning actor Deborah Williams brings the popular storytelling series The Flame (Feb 10) to the Richmond venue with a Lunar New Year edition.
In March comes the world premiere of Jasmine Chen’s multi-disciplinary Jade Circle (Mar 6-17), following her journey to find her place within the legacy of her matriarchs.
The season’s final production is Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery (Apr 11-20). Equal parts adventure and comedy, a cast of five actors take on forty different characters as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson attempt to crack their most notorious case.
