Meet stand-up comedian and actor, Maria Bamford.
For two seasons, the California native starred in the semi-autobiographical Netflix comedy series, Lady Dynamite. She is also the creator and star of Maria Bamford: The Special Special Special and of the cult hit web series The Maria Bamford Show.
The first female comic to have two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials, she has also starred alongside Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis and Brian Posehn in the Comedy Central series The Comedians of Comedy and Netflix’s Comedians of Comedy: The Movie.
Maria voices characters on numerous animated series including BoJack Horseman, Adventure Time, Legend of Korra, Puss in Boots and PBS’s Emmy- winning series Word Girl. She can also be heard voicing lead roles on Fox’s Golan the Insatiable and Yahoo’s Talking Tom & Friends.
Maria has also appeared on Netflix’s Arrested Development reboot and has also recurred on USA’s Benched, FX’s critically-praised Louie, and currently recurs on the ABC hit Fresh Off the Boat. Her new special Old Baby is available on Netflix.

Sexy nun.

My own forgetfulness.

Milk chocolate and scoop of peanut butter for breakfast.

That there is not much that I won’t share on stage if it is just affecting me.
7. Three things you would want with you on a deserted island.
Books, bed, lamp. Assuming food is available for delivery.
8. The one word your best friend would use to describe you.
Worried.
9. If you were not pursuing an acting career, what would you be doing right now?
Sleeping even more than the 14 hours I am currently getting.
10. Hero or villain?
I am certain I am a villain, or I at least feel guilty already.
11. Your life’s motto/mantra.
Do the work and you’ll feel better. Not that I do this all the time.

Bitch Better Have My Money. I’m very bitch positive.
13. The one comedian who makes you laugh.
I love my friend Jackie Kashian, Todd Barry cracks me up and I love SNL sketches. I am amazed at the writing and performance of Cameron Esposito, Bridgette Everett.
14. If you were a cartoon character what cartoon character would you be and why?
I guess Aquaman. I’d like to send out messages to sea animals like a gang.
15. What will it say on your grave marker?
No grave! Just powdered about! .It’s been notarized.
16. Who would you most like to have dinner with?
Anyone who is available. I love eating out. A bunch of comics who are women would be fun.
17. Your idea of happiness.
Friends and family and dogs and hubby.
18. If you could go back in time, what would you tell your twenty year old self?.
Get a full-time job, you goofball. So you have money for food and shelter!
19. The one thing in your life that makes you most proud.
That I can admit, I think, to failure and making horrendous mistakes and apologize and try again.
